A PIECE OF STORY.

 

 

Our company started with a vision of innovating the food distribution market in early 2017. Less than a year later, AZ Foods was born and we began supplying small, local business in Puerto Rico such as Pharmacies, C- Stores and "mom and pop" stores.

 

In the beginnings, we started selling a small selection of gourmet products and with plenty of effort and dedication we started growing gradually our name in the market, step by step and client by client, focusing on bringing healthy innovative products. More recently, AZ Foods started serving “Big Box” retailers through-out 78 municipals of Puerto Rico and supplying to 5 islands of the Eastern Part of the Caribbean (St. Croix, St. Martin, St. Thomas, Anguila and Tortola). Promptly, in 2023 we will open a distribution center in St. Thomas, USVI to serve local supermarkets.  

 

 

 

Early 2018, our team was ready to expand by entering the Snack Category and Wholesale Division for Clubs and Foodservice. Later that year, we started

distributing brands from Europe, South America and a big selection of ready to eat products from all parts of the world. The team continued on the hunt for more opportunities to grow, later on, we introduced to the market brands of Olive Oils, Nutri-Crackers, Pasta, Preserves, Sauces, Snacks, Juices and more than 200 products for Horeca Sector.

 

 

In 2019, we moved from a 2,500sq facility in Carolina, Puerto Rico to a 25,000sq warehouse in Rio Piedras, PR, our warehouse has a centric location on Puerto Rico's capital (San Juan) and is 5 minutes away from the main Airport Luis Muñoz Marin.

LOGISTICS AND MERCHANDISING 

 

 

We have a qualified model that has been proven to reach all of our 1,000 clients in a promptly reasonable time, with on-hand and independent trucking companies that are on-call every day, hour and minute. Part of our growth has played a roll when it comes to creating ideas and understanding the needs of our clients , allowing us to execute island wide deals same day or next day. Our primary goal is to establish a long lasting relationship with our customers, we believe that consistently delivering on time and full is the solution to keep growing.

We also provide merchandising services that work closely with logistics to guarantee that when our products arrives to the stores it is well positioned on shelf for better expousure and stock replenishments.
